you're in for it now all of you seeing this page. you're in for a long sweep of pictures. Because I feel I am boring you when I ramble on and on like I have. So here are the very old ( 3 or 4 weeks) pictures from the big vacation. If you didn't know. We, My dad, My mom, My cousin Carrie, My sister, and I, went 1) to Indianapolis ( to Heidis schol ) 2) to Chicago ( we stayed in a hotel ) 3) Springfield ( to see the great monument burial place of our great president Lincoln ) 4) Branson ( we stayed at a resort ) 5) and to Eureka Springs (for a Great Passion Play that was awful! ) 6) and to Oklahoma and Dallas and home again!!!
First I have to put this on here before I forget. A friend of our familys sent it to me...
A REMINDER IN HISTORY
General VoNguyen Giap.
General Giap was a brilliant, highly respected leader
of the North Vietnam military. The following quote
is from his memoirs currently found in the
Vietnam war memorial in Hanoi :
'What we still don't understand is why you Americans
stopped the bombing of Hanoi . You had us on the
ropes. If you had pressed us a little harder,
just for another day or two, we were ready
to surrender! It was the same at the
battles of TET. You defeated us!
We knew it, and we thought
you knew it.
But we were elated to notice your media was definitely
helping us. They were causing more disruption in
America than we could in the battlefields. We
were ready to surrender. You had won!'
General Giap has published his memoirs and confirmed
what most Americans knew. The Vietnam war was not
lost in Vietnam -- it was lost at home.. The exact
same slippery slope, sponsored by the US media,
is currently well underway. It exposes the
enormous power of a Biased Media to
cut out the heart and will of
the American public.
A truism worthy of note: ... Do not fear the enemy, for
they can take only your life. Fear the media far more, for And so with that I start the long picture sweep.
Midnight we got inside the state line of Indiana. And boy were we happy people. We'd been cooped up in a car for the last 2 days and we were ready to finally sleep! We'd stop at all kinds of rest stops along the way. That's where we are here folks.
I called it the fun house. But we were at the largest children s museum
in the universe! ( I'm pretty sure! ) i and heidi have been there
before when I went up in May but this time it was double the fun. we
saw Batmans real "Tumbler". The actual one used in Batman Begins! And
we got to see it right there in front of us! But it was way cooler then
that!... they filmed Gothem ( spelling? ) City in the streets of
Chicago and we were about to go to Chicago the very next night. It was
just plain facinating. We all ( well Heidi and I did, Carrie took
pictures probably too embarrased to dress up like we did in front of
all the people! ) put on super capes and posed. Heidi is in this one, I
had on some other super heros cape.
Next was Chicago ( My personal favorite ). And after Sears Tower we went to Buckineham Fountain. The hugest beautifulest fountain I've ever experienced! You can't see very well, but if you guessed you probably guessed right. That's my 60 year old mother dancing to the music the fountain was playing. They had out loud speakers where they played music and my mom said " ready?" And we had no idea what she had in mind until she said " and a one two three four here I go". Or something like that. I don't know but there were other people standing around watching. They looked like they were bored anyhow, they needed something just like this to totally change the outlook they'd have on that day. Carrie's recording it!
When ever we'd park downtown you had your own not only colored but named level. We thought it was very clever! We were corn level.
In Springfield we got the awesome privlage of seeing and walking through Aberham Lincolns tomb spot. And visiting his house where he lived when he was married with his 3 sons. As you can see we were overjoyed. At leat i was, Heidi is strange and doesn't know what to think.
And then Branson, MO. We'd go to shows at night and this one was of the Spirit of the Dance. It was weird. here are the little guy guys that danced for us. This was Silver Dollar. And one of the rides that noone would rise with me so I went all by my lonesome. At one point at the very top on this ride I screamed not bloody murder but a little innocent random scream and the guy next next to me askes " you OK!!?" As if you can do anything bud. But of course spinning around at who knows how fast I wouldn't say that. And every time we went up on the very top he's look at my face and laugh because I guess he thought it was ammusing my reaction at seeing everything twirl around me at such a rapid pace. It was so cool, we saw all kinds of shops that had peoples names we knew! jonathan... Becka... hannah... Cathy...Carrie... and some others I don't remember. If you can read it, it says DON'T look in this hole. Carrie's the one that told me to look. It's not my falt ya know!
My poor mom once again. We all split up the 2 days we went there it was always Dad and Mom then heidi carrie and I and we had riden this roller coaster that morning about 5 times and thought nothing of it but later at lunch when we met up with my parents we wanted them to ride, naturally we thought it was a real nice ride. And my mom gets on and I sit by her and dad sits behind us and Heidi and Carrie get the front and we take off and my mom goes berzerks. Literally, she thought she'd die. And i look behind at my dad and he's all tensing up and trying to make it back there. It was pretty funny. My mom was all " you guys said it wasn't a rough ride, o that was awful". Yoy live and learn. Mom learned to never trust a 15, 21, and 25 year old on how smooth or not smooth a ride is.
Heidi and Carrie saw a tall grizzly in those hills in Missouri and ran back to silver dollar city to gurd up for action with that grizzly. The Swing!!! I thought was nice. But Carrie and the lady next to us were yelling every time the swing went really high up behind " i want off, off off. O gosh get me off of this. I want off". poor dears! When the parents were in this class about vacations Heidi and Carrie and I went downtown and sort of crused around. We saw some fancy old looking cars and thought why not?
When we left branson we went to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. And went on a Holy Land Tour. here's dad and I at the last supper!
And the ozarks statue!
We had fun!
And that's it people. you want to know how many pictures we did take??... over 500. So be ye thankful for these 27! And have a good week. And don't forget to vote. vote early.
heidis friend invited heidi and I to hear this man talk Sunday night. i won't even tell you what he told us. It's much to frightening. He's from Wahington D.C. He is the Major of security to the Secutary of the U.S. Or whatever! um he met the last guy of secirity you have to pass to see the President in the Oval office and he said ' he was one tough dude!". Uhh, he led to Christ the guy that guards the helicopter as it lands on the pad at the White House. And he knows stuff, ha ha! ya know. He told us alot and said that we'd never hear it on the liberal news cause they don't want you to know and such. he said he didn't want to be an alarmest, but...!
So from whatever you got out of that, it's pretty serious alough i will not say what exactly. Just pray for our nation. And Pray about this election. Let me just say if the wrong man gets elected ( we all know who! )... things will get nasty, very very nasty.
Umn ... on that very cheeery note. Bye all!!
HANNAH
